Our community guidelines
Sky community guidelines: detailed overview
At Clouded Judgement, we believe in fostering a peaceful and inspiring space for all sky enthusiasts. Our community guidelines are designed to ensure that everyone can share their love for the sky in an authentic, respectful, and joyful way. They help us protect the unique spirit of our community and keep it a wonderful place for every member.
Understanding our guidelines helps maintain the integrity and peaceful atmosphere of Clouded Judgement. Below are the core principles that guide our interactions and content sharing.
Why are these guidelines important for keeping our Clouded Judgement community a great place for everyone?
How do you want members to behave and talk to each other when they're sharing or commenting?
1️⃣ Be Kind & Respectful
Treat every member like they’re sharing something precious.
Even small critiques should be gentle — think: “I love how the light hits here; maybe this part could be brighter?” instead of harsh judgment.
2️⃣ Stay Positive & Encouraging
Celebrate creativity and personal perspective.
If someone sees a dragon, angel, or a story in the clouds you don’t see — that’s their imagination. Support it, don’t dismiss it.
3️⃣ Be Patient & Open-Minded
Members come from all over the world — different skies, different experiences.
Encourage curiosity: ask questions, share observations, and explore new ways of seeing the sky.
4️⃣ Share Thoughtfully
When commenting, focus on the sky, the story, or the feelings — not personal attacks.
Example:
✅ “I love how this sunset makes me feel calm and hopeful.”
❌ “This photo is boring, I don’t like it.”
5️⃣ Respect Privacy & Safety
Don’t share personal info about other members.
Keep the community a safe, magical space for everyone.
6️⃣ Engage, Don’t Dominate
Share your thoughts and vote for your favorites, but let others shine too.
The goal is connection, not competition.
What types of photos or stories should members definitely not share on Clouded Judgement?
No offensive, vulgar, or non-sky related photos.
🚫 Photos Members Should NOT Share
Non-Sky Images
Pictures unrelated to the sky (landscapes without sky, pets, food, etc.)
Remember: your space celebrates the sky — clouds, sun, moon, stars, rain, sunsets, sunrises, storms… anything above us.
AI or Generated Images
No AI-created skies, filters that change the sky completely, or fake clouds.
Only real, authentic sky photos are allowed.
Inappropriate or Offensive Content
Nudity, violence, hate symbols, or any content that could harm others.
This includes things that could make someone uncomfortable in comments or stories.
Stolen or Copyrighted Images
Only upload photos you personally took.
Don’t post someone else’s work, even with credit — it breaks trust and legal rules.
Excessive or Distracting Edits
Basic brightness/contrast is okay, but heavily edited or artificial-looking skies can take away the authenticity of the community.
🚫 Stories Members Should NOT Share
Hate, Harassment, or Bullying
No stories that attack other members, groups, or beliefs.
Explicit or Disturbing Content
Keep stories suitable for a general audience — your site is peaceful and welcoming.
Non-Sky Related Content
Stories should be inspired by the sky, the clouds, or the emotions and imagination that come from looking up.
False or Misleading Claims
Don’t present fictional stories as factual “sky events” if you’re claiming they really happened — imagination is welcome, but honesty keeps trust.
If members only remember one thing from these guidelines, what should it be?
🌤️ “Share honestly, be kind, and celebrate the sky.”
Share honestly → only real sky photos and stories inspired by the sky.
Be kind → treat others with respect and encouragement.
Celebrate the sky → focus on wonder, imagination, and connection, not criticism.
Protect the feeling, nurture the sky
Our Clouded Judgement community thrives on genuine connection and shared wonder. By upholding these guidelines, you help us maintain a truly unique and inspiring sanctuary for all who look up. Thank you for being a part of our story and for sharing the beauty of the sky with kindness.
